IIS obtained the official certification of its Information Security Management System (ISMS) against ISO 27001 at the end of June. This certification is a means of providing assurance that IIS has implemented a system for the management of information security in line with the standard requirements.
Credibility is IIS' key advantage to being certified by DNV Hungary, a world renowned certification body. All the audits were conducted by László Adlovits: "I was impressed by the high involvement of IIS management in setting up an ISM system. This was a challenge for you all and the results are in line with your common efforts. You are the pioneer within the Ipsos organization, which is not a small thing. You can really be proud of yourselves!"
The certification audit was a two-stage process, including:
- pre-audit meetings (4th and 5th June 2007) aimed at analyzing the ISMS documentation and its compliance with the standard requirements;
- certification audit meetings (25th through 28th June 2007) aimed at analyzing the implementation of the ISMS in the organization.
Francois Delabre, International Quality Director, said: "Certification is critical for our clients to trust online research, and the primary guarantee for a strong partnership. The ISMS Certification is a major step for IIS. It has required continuous efforts from our teams to further improve our services and processes."
Added Andrei Postoaca, CEO of IIS: "The trust of information security in an online company is essential for both our clients, client databases and our panelists. This is a strong step forward in the increase in quality and IT security in IIS."
