IIS is happy to announce that the Emotiscape, IIS support solution for online market research, has now  a feminine side: EMA. Following Ipsos ASI clients demands to use feminine versions of Emotiscape, when the target of the project was exclusively feminine, we implemented the feminine Emotiscape map, named EMA, in the Emotiscape projects, in the project link, and have now extended its use to the reporting tool as well.

The Emotiscape addresses the deeper feelings of respondents confronted with video advertisements. We ask the respondents to indicate their feelings from a wide range of emotions already standardized for all Internet users. This way, the respondents can translate their feelings into virtual symbols, without having to express their emotions in words, thus providing a better understanding of consumers’ emotions and, more importantly, of their motivational drive towards the brand’s message.

For two years, IIS has used the map with male emoticons for all the projects, regardless of the target gender. Following Ipsos ASI clients demands to use feminine versions of Emotiscape, when the target of the project was exclusively feminine, we implemented the feminine Emotiscape map, named EMA, in the Emotiscape projects, in the project link, and have now extended its use to the reporting tool as well.

Starting with November 2007, clients can receive the EMA reports when they use the EMA map in the project. The EMA reports are available in English and French.
