Oliviero was born in 1961 in Roma. He started his career in 1987 at Proscop, a French research company specialising in sales modelling. From 1988 he worked at BVA, a French company specialised in Opinion and Market Research. He joined Ipsos in 1995, working first at Ipsos Opinion (now Ipsos Public Affairs). In 1999, he became Managing Director of Ipsos Operations France. More recently, he has been managing as well the Ipsos Observer France unit.
