The HotSpot application registers in the database the exact coordinates of clicks of the respondents on the displayed images. The respective points are the result of the most eye-catching points on the board/picture presented.

The result is a cluster of points spread on the entire picture representing the first point where the respondents declared they looked for the first time, and subsequently for each following spot they chose. 

A statistical or a simple visual definition of the centre of each "cluster" can then be performed resulting in the end in a "resultant itinerary" of the eye on the picture.
