IT: Network Linux System Administrator

Requirements:

  • Experience in Linux and Cisco (other vendors will be a plus) environment administration;
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols and technologies;
  • Highly experienced in the Linux operating system and large Linux/Unix IT infrastructures;
  • Operational knowledge on Linux/Unix system and cluster management;
  • Comfortable with all aspects of system administration (i.e, system installation and configuration, system security, installing third party software, system troubleshooting), experience with hardware troubleshooting;
  • Network and Linux/Unix security fundamentals;
  • Strong working knowledge of Cisco hardware (e.g routers, switches etc.);
  • Excellent Cisco configuration skills (routers & switches) plus an in-depth knowledge of WAN networks and routing protocols (i.e. RIP, EIGRP, OSPF & BGP) and their applicable usage;
  • Ability and motivation to learn new technologies quickly;
  • Good communication skills and teamwork spirit.

Responsibilities:

  • Install& administer Linux advanced servers in a high availability environment. This includes performance optimization, backups and monitoring. Clustering & mirroring responsibilities. Maintaining data integrity will be a priority;
  • Install & administer LAN and WAN systems in a high availability environment. This includes performance optimizing, backup, monitoring. Fail-over, load-balancing, redundancy responsibilities. Maintaining data integrity will also be a priority.
